Issues in music

Today we began to look at issues in music. We learned about the Central African Republic, where music is sung or produced on simple instruments due to the extreme poverty of the people.

I announced that EXTRA CREDIT can be earned by contributing to water for these people, to help make their difficult lives easier. And our AWESOME class members have already contributed $230.00 to the cause of clean water for the people in the CAR.

Extra credit will be awarded at 5 points per dollar, up to a total possible of 100 extra credit points. Minimum that can be posted on the website with a credit card is $2. There is no maximum for dollars, only for credits.

I will still be holding a drawing for two free tickets to "An evening of percussion." If you have donated, but do not wish to be in the drawing, just let me know. Otherwise, all those who contribute on this website until November 9 will be in the drawing for the tickets.
